LinkedIn has launched some new features for a limited group of users, preparing for a wider rollout in 2025. Let’s explore each in detail:

1. Boost Personal Posts

LinkedIn will soon allow users to turn personal posts into paid ads to increase visibility in feeds, target a specific audience, or drive website traffic.

  • What posts can be boosted? Text, images, videos, articles, and newsletters.
  • What’s excluded? Job posts, events, documents, polls, and group posts.

This feature works similarly to how companies promote/boost posts on their pages. You’ll be able to set your budget and choose a target audience, making it easier to gain more visibility for important content.

2. Scrolling Profile Banners

Profiles will have dynamic banners with up to five rotating images. These images will automatically scroll every three seconds, adding movement and depth to your profile.

  • Why it matters: This feature provides a visually appealing way to highlight personal branding, achievements, or company milestones.
  • How to use it: You can upload and arrange images using a simple interface similar to LinkedIn’s post editor.

Currently, this feature is being gradually rolled but it is already available in the banner editing tools to selected Premium users and is expected to enhance profile personalization in 2025.

3. AI-Powered Job Posts

LinkedIn is making job posting easier by integrating AI tools. This feature allows you to create free job posts with the following enhancements:

  • Market value job titles: AI suggests titles aligned with industry standards.
  • Skills recommendations: Identifies key skills in demand for the role.
  • Pay transparency: Encourages disclosing salary ranges to attract more qualified candidates.
  • Screening questions: Add questions to filter candidates automatically.
  • Auto-rejection messaging: Automates follow-up for candidates who don’t meet requirements.

This feature could be ideal for small businesses or individuals hiring on a budget, making the job posting process faster and more effective.

4. Customizable Notifications

Managing LinkedIn notifications will become more user-friendly with a new Change notification preferences option directly accessible from the three-dot menu next to each notification.

  • How it works: This feature introduces a tailored dropdown menu to fine-tune the types of alerts you want to receive.
  • Why it’s helpful: It gives users more control, helping reduce irrelevant updates while focusing on what matters most.

This small but impactful change will improve how users stay updated on their network.

5. Enhanced Company Page Metrics

Company pages will receive a boost in analytics with the addition of “Search appearance” stats on the dashboard.

  • Where to find it: Under the Track Performance section.
  • What’s included: Weekly stats showing how many times your company page appeared in searches, plus percentage changes compared to the previous week.

This tool helps businesses track visibility trends and assess the effectiveness of their branding efforts.

LinkedIn’s 2025 updates focus on personalization, professional growth, and improved user experience. Whether you’re an individual building your brand, a business seeking visibility, or a recruiter managing job posts, these features aim to make LinkedIn a more powerful tool for achieving your goals.
